It's a Dogs World. Places to stay…

The Peninsula ~ Beverly Hills, CA.

One of the many fun things I will be doing for The City Farm is blogging about the many wonderful places to stay that are dog friendly.  It will be a varied selection of accommodations, all shapes and sizes, from the city to the country, exclusive to economical.  Some of these are personal recommendations where I have stayed with my dogs – whether it be for work or for pleasure. The rest will be from readers of this blog sharing their experiences and from various other sources.  Please send me feedback on any of these places that you visit so we can share with the rest of the world.

I may as well start with one of the higher end, fancier places you can spend a relaxing weekend in the city with your dog – and that is at The Peninsula in Beverly Hills.

With one of Southern California’s most desirable addresses, The Peninsula Beverly Hills looks and feels like an exclusive private residence built in classic Renaissance style. Discretion is key and guests are assured of complete confidentiality and security during their stay. With a choice of 193 luxurious rooms and suites – all elegantly renovated in 2011 – they also offer 16 gloriously comfortable detached garden Villa Suites with their own discreet entrances. Unique to the hotel is the complimentary 24 hour check-in/check-out experience, meaning guests may arrive and depart at their leisure.

You arrive to monogrammed pillows – even your dogs names will be embroidered into bed linens if you’re a regular guest.

Located close to Rodeo Drive, there are plenty of places to walk your dog and have lunch or shop at the many exclusive retailers. If you have time, stop by The Cheese Store of Beverly Hills at 419 North Beverly Drive and pick up a jar of The City Farms Avocado Honey, which will be available in this store early 2013!
